Company Members


Evelyn is a sixteen year old, tenth grade honors student at Morgantown High School and has been dancing with Morgantown Dance Studio since the age of three. This is her fourth year as a Company I member of Morgantown Ballet Company. Evelyn has attended summer dance intensives at Cincinnati Ballet, Nashville Ballet, New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble, and the University of North Carolina School for the Arts. Her most notable roles with Morgantown Dance include John Darling in “Peter Pan” and Alice in “Alice in Wonderland”. She recently competed in the 2019 Youth America Grand Prix with a ballet variation and a contemporary solo. Evelyn is also a student assistant for the Morgantown Dance Foundations program.


Magdalena is 16 years old and a  junior in high school. She has danced at Morgantown Dance Studio for ten years, and this is her second year with Morgantown Ballet Company. She attended Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet’s two week summer intensive from 2015-2017, and attended Nashville Ballet School’s three week summer intensive in 2018.  She enjoyed performing with the Company at the West Virginia Dance Festival last spring, and looks forward to performing there again this spring.


Sophia is the 16 year-old daughter of John and Amy Brown.  She resides in Morgantown, WV, where she is a tenth grade, honor roll student at Morgantown High School.  She began her dance training at the age of 3 and began dancing at Morgantown Dance Studio in 2010.  Her past performances include “The Nutcracker,” “The Jazz Nutcracker,” “The Snow Queen,” “Snow White,” “Peter Pan,” and “Alice in Wonderland.”  Sophia has attended several dance intensives at Morgantown Dance, the WVU Summer Teen Academy and the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.  She has also been a student assistant for tap, jazz, musical theater, and ballet at Morgantown Dance since 2014, assisted and performed at the annual Stepping Stones Festival, and performed at the West Virginia State Dance Festival in Charleston.  Sophia loves music and is currently in the Morgantown High School Drumline and Wind Ensemble.  This is her third season performing with the Morgantown Ballet Company.



Cambrie is honored to be a member of the Morgantown Ballet Company!  She has danced since the age of five and has been privileged to dance at MDS for four years.  She studies jazz, tap, modern, ballet, and contemporary.  Cambrie has been in numerous productions for dance and theater.  Some of her favorites include The Snow Queen in The Snow Queen, The Sugar Rum Cherry in The Jazz Nutcracker, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella in Into the Woods.  She recently attended a workshop in Chicago for the WV Governor’s School for the Arts and was given the Broadway Bound award.  She was also accepted into the WV American Choral Directors Association and named #1 Alto in the state.  Cambrie enjoys choreographing and won the 2018 Young Choreographer’s Initiative for her piece Liability.  She loves teaching Musical Theater for the Foundations program at MDS.  Cambrie has a 4.0 GPA and was recently inducted into the National Honors Society at her school.  She is also a soloist and member of the acappella competition choir The Vocables.  Cambrie would like to thank her amazing dance instructors for their time and dedication to MDS!


Andrea began her dance studies at the age of five at Regina’s Studio of Dance and continued under Kim R. Pauley at the school of the Charleston Ballet in Charleston, WV; where she apprenticed and performed throughout high school. Andrea attended West Virginia University and took a break from dancing to focus on music until she was referred to Morgantown Dance, where she resumed ballet and discovered modern dance. Andrea was an original member of Alchemy Dance Project, a local modern dance company and has performed in many of their productions as well as with Morgantown Dance. Her favorite role to dance was “Aurora” in Ashley Manzo’s 2011 original modern dance retelling of the Sleeping Beauty ballet. Andrea has been a member of The Morgantown Ballet Company since its inception in 2008. In 2010 Andrea became certified in the nationally renowned Leap ‘n Learn early childhood pre-ballet dance curriculum and is proud to be in her 9th year as a dance teacher. Having taught at Morgantown Dance Studio and currently at Artistry House in Morgantown, WV. She continues to study ballet, modern, jazz and contemporary dance; and is grateful to still be performing!



Layla is a 13 year old eighth grader at South Middle School. She began dancing at the age of three and has been with Morgantown Dance Studio for five years. This is Layla’s second year as a member of Morgantown Ballet Company and her first year as a student assistant for the MDS Foundations program. She has enjoyed performing in past productions of Nutcracker, Jazz Nutcracker, Snow White, Peter Pan, Snow Queen, Cinderella, Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. She has performed in Gathering Momentum at The West Virginia State Festival and will be performing again this year in the Studio Piece for MBC. In 2018 Layla attended the Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive. This year she was awarded partial scholarship for Brenau University 2019 Summer Intensive at Jackson’s Mill Dance Festival.


Ayslinn is a 13 year old, seventh grade, straight A student at Margaret Bell Miller Middle School in Waynesburg, PA.  She is in her 4th year of dance with the Morgantown Dance Studio but began dancing at age 3. This is her first year with the Morgantown Ballet Company. Ayslinn has competed at many national competitions.  Her most solo performance was awarded the Overall High Score at Extreme Talent Showcase. Ayslinn is also a company member with Dance Theatre USA, under the direction of Loree Russeau, which has given her the opportunity to travel many places and train with many talented choreographers including Ryan Daniel Beck, April Cook, James Jackson Jr and Jamie Salmon.  She has been awarded several scholarships at various conventions and festivals. Scholarship awards include Ballet Master Class in Urbania, Italy, La Luna Dance Center in Ancona, Italy and most recently while attending the Dance WV Fall Festival at Jackson’s Mill she was the recipient of the University of North Carolina Young Dancer scholarship for the Summer of 2018 and Brenau University for the summer of 2019.  Ayslinn has attended several summer intensives including the Nashville Ballet School, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Millennium Dance Complex and the Broadway Dance Center in NYC.  When she is not dancing, Ayslinn enjoys time with her family and her dogs.


Victoria, age 14, is honored to be a member of the Morgantown Ballet Company II. At Morgantown Dance Studio she studies ballet, pointe, jazz, modern and tap. Since 2015, Victoria has furthered her dance studies during summer intensives at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Nashville ballet. She has performed in numerous productions with Morgantown Dance Studio including The Nutcracker, Snow Queen, Wizard of Oz, Snow White, Peter Pan, Cinderella, and upcoming, Alice in Wonderland as the Head Caterpillar. She has also attended and performed in Ashley Manzo’s“Gathering Momentum”, at the WV Dance Festival. Victoria received a scholarship for Brenau University Summer Dance Intensive 2019, is a member of the National Jr. Honor Society, International Key Club, Lenox Loyal Workers 4H Club, and Preston County Livestock Association.


Talia age 15, is a sophomore honors student at Morgantown High School. She began dancing at Morgantown Dance Studio in 2014 after relocating to WV from Portland, OR; she studies ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, and tap, and this is her third year as a member of the Morgantown Ballet Company. She had previous and continued training at The Dance Center, Traverse City, MI, Portland Youth Ballet, Portland, OR, and Eisenhower Dance, Birmingham, MI.  She has performed in the studio and company pieces at the WV State Dance Festival under the direction of Mollie Mock Kaufman (2017) and Daniel Karasik (2018). In 2016 Talia participated as an understudy for the studio piece under the direction of Ashley Manzo. Talia has attended summer intensives at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (2015, 2017) and Allegheny Ballet (2016), where she had the opportunity to study with Paul Boos and Ashlee Knapp, and is excited to attend Interlochen Arts Academy and Grand Rapids Ballet this coming summer. Starting in the fall she will begin attending Interlochen Arts Academy as a year round boarding student. Talia is a third-year Student Assistant with the Foundations Program, and loves spending time with the children in her classes!


Katie is a 13-year-old eighth grade student at South Middle School.  She has maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout her school years.  She is currently in her first year with the Morgantown Ballet Company.  She is in her second year of dance with the Morgantown Dance Studio, but she has trained in dance since the age of five.  Katie has performed in six productions with the Morgantown Dance Studio including The Nutcracker, The Snow Queen, and The Wizard of Oz.  In 2017, Katie and another dancer choreographed a contemporary dance piece that they competed with in the Mohigan Idol talent competition and raised money for WVU Medicine Children’s.  Katie attended the Dance West Virginia Fall Festival at Jackson’s Mill in 2015.  Outside of dance, she loves to paint, draw, and write and has received several county and regional awards for her art.  She also placed at the county level in a writing competition.


Riley is thirteen years old and attends South Middle school, where she is a straight A student. She began dancing at the age of 3, and started training at Morgantown Dance Studio in 2010. Riley has performed in 18 products with MDS, including The Nutcracker, Carnival of the Animals, Snow Queen, and Snow White. Her favorite part to date, was dancing as a pirate in Peter Pan. She has attended the Jackson’s Mill Festival of Dance for the past 4 years, and the WV State Dance Festival last year. When she isn’t dancing, Riley enjoys photography, art, & reading. She is looking forward to her first year with the Morgantown Ballet Company 2. This is Riley’s first year in the student assistant program. She enjoys working with the young students and serving as a mentor.


Chloe is a 16 year old sophomore at Morgantown High. She is in her fourth year with Morgantown Ballet.  Last year she attended Nashville Ballet 5 week summer intensive on scholarship and will attend a 3 week Jazz and Contemporary program at Joffrey NYC on scholarship, where she was also accepted into the Joffrey Jazz/Contemporary Trainee Program.  Academic achievements include a score of 4 on the AP World History exam


Autumn is 14-years old and a three-year member of the Morgantown Ballet Company.  She studies ballet, jazz, modern and contemporary at Morgantown Dance Studio where she is also a student assistant in the Foundations Program. She has continued her training at the Nashville Ballet’s Advanced Summer Program(on scholarship from Dance WV), Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Summer Program and Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive.  Autumn has furthered her training by attending the annual Dance WV Fall Festival, during which she received a return scholarship for 2017, and WV Dance State Festival where she performed in both MBC and Studio pieces.  She has performed in multiple MDS Productions including Sleeping BeautyThe Snow Queen, The NutcrackerMagic Carnival of Dance, Peter Pan, Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, and most recently as “Gerda” in the 2018 production of The Snow Queen. She is a straight A honor student at Morgantown High School and a member of the Morgantown High School Student Council and Young Life.
