
Mr. Michael Turner
Vice President
Michael resides in McClellandtown, Pennsylvania with his wife and daughter. He joined the Board in 2018 when his daughter graduated High School and continued to dance at the College level at Slippery Rock. University.
“I wanted to continue to be a part of the Morgantown family,” he says. “Seeing Morgantown Dance grow, thrive and survive through everything that has come our way since 2011 when my daughter started dancing there.”
He is currently vice president of Morgantown Dance board of directors. Michael is currently employed as a Special Education Teacher at Keystone Oaks High School in Pittsburgh. His involvement with Morgantown Dance began through his daughter who was a student of Morgantown Dance. Since 2011, he has volunteered in many aspects for the studio and its productions. Michael performed as “Smee” in the Morgantown Dance production of Peter Pan. He also volunteers at his local church food bank and enjoys reading and collecting baseball cards in his free time. Michael hopes to continue serving Morgantown Dance.
Mr. Turner encourages others to support the mission of Morgantown Dance so that it can continue to serve and provide the community with opportunities to promote education in dance and to provide performance opportunities for greater Morgantown and the surrounding communities.
