Sydnie Tetrick
Sydnie Tetrick is a senior dance major at West Virginia University (WVU), set to graduate with a B.A. in Dance in May 2026. She began dancing at the age of 4 at Tari Jo’s Dance Studio in Martinsburg, WV, and was a member of the Martinsburg High School Velocity Dance Team (VDT) for four seasons, serving as captain during the 2022-2023 season. Sydnie competed at NDA Nationals with VDT in 2023 and with the WVU Hip Hop Dance Team in 2024, placing 8th in D1-A Hip Hop. She currently serves as Fundraising and Events Chair for the WVU Student Dance Association and Vice President of the WVU National Honor Society of Dance Arts.
Sydnie has performed in WVU productions including Celebration of Dance, Dance Now!, and the Spring Showcase (2023-2026), and represented WVU at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Mid-Atlantic South Conference in 2024 and 2025, as well as the WV Dance Festival in 2024. She has trained in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, pointe, acro, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, pom, and Kathak. In summer 2025, she studied abroad in Belgium with WVU’s College of Creative Arts and Media and trained at the Joffrey SPECTRUM Jazz and Contemporary Intensive in NYC.
