Savanna Powroznik

Savanna Powroznik is a West Virginia native. She began her dance training at WV Performing Arts Academy at the age of two. She danced competitively in all styles including Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, and Musical Theatre. Savanna graduated from University High School in 2020. Savanna has studied under the direction of Dr. Yoav Kaddar, Maureen Mansfield Kaddar, General McArthur Hambrick, Mathew Safron, and Katreena Snyder at West Virginia University. Savanna studied Dance Abroad in Israel and trained under companies such as Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Batsheva Dance Company, and Kamea Dance Company. She has also trained at Gibney Dance Company in New York City. Savanna has choreographed for multiple dance companies in West Virginia. Savanna has received many awards for her choreography, including the “Choreography of the Year Award” by Star Dance Alliance, inducted into the American College Dance Association Gala, inducted into the Mid Atlantic Dance Initiative Gala, inducted into West Virginia University’s “Dance Now!” show, and has won choreography awards from Believe National Talent Competition, Extreme Talent Showcase, Dreammaker National Talent Competition, and Groove National Talent Competition. Savanna is a recent graduate from West Virginia University where she received her degree in Dance and a minor in Arts Management. Savanna currently resides in Morgantown, West Virginia where she continues to teach and choreograph in the field of dance.
